Brooke Christa Shields Bio

Brooke Christa Shields was born May 31 on the 31st of May, 1965. She was 12 when she was a child model. She earned critical acclaim for her performance in Louis Malle's 1978 film Pretty Baby (1978). She continued modeling throughout her teens, and was featured in numerous dramas during the 1980s, including The Blue Lagoon (1980) and Franco Zeffirelli's Endless Love (1981). In 1983, Shields quit her model career to go to Princeton University where she received a bachelor's degree in Romance Languages. In the 90s, Shields returned to acting and appeared in minor roles in films. She was also a star in the NBC sitcoms Suddenly Susan (1996-192000), for which she received two Golden Globe nominations and Lipstick Jungle (2008)-2009. Shields was back on NBC in 2017 with a recurring role as a Law & Order: Special Victims unit character in the show's 19th Season. Shields is the voice of Beverly Goodman on Adult Swim's animated series Mr. Pickles, and its spinoff Momma Named Me Sheriff. Brooke Christa Shields was a Manhattan, New York, native , born on May 31 in 1965. She is the daughter of Teri Shields, actress and model, and Frank Shields, a businessman (1941-2003). According to William Addams Reitwiesner research, Shields was a descendent of many noble families in Italy. These are namely (in chronological order of descent from 1355 to 1965) the Gattilusi-Palaiologos-Savoy, Grimaldi, Imperiali, Carafa, Doria, Doria-Pamphili-Landi, Chigi-Albani, and Torlonia dynasties. Marina Torlonia di Civitella Cisi di Civitella was her paternal grandmother. She was the daughter of an American socialite as well as an Italian prince. Her great-uncle was Italian nobleman Alessandro Torlonia, the husband of Infanta Beatriz of Spain.When Teri announced that she was pregnant, Frank's family gave her a payment to stop the pregnancy.
