Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish actor and model from 11 November 1996. Her feature film debut was a tiny role in her debut role in the Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). Later she played the Nazi-sympathising archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade 1989). Other roles include Siobhan Donavan on the film A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) as well as Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Doody started modeling after being invited by a professional photographer. The result was an enviable professional career as a model for commercials. Doody tried to stay clear of glamour and nude roles, that was a rule she followed in her acting. She was cast in a minor part as Jenny Flex for 1985's A View to a Kill following the fact that she was spotted by the director who cast her. Doody appeared as a character in John Willis Screen World Volume 2, as one 12 promising actors to be cast in 1986. 38. Doody was just aged 18 at the time of her appearance in the Bond character. Another film from her early days had her in a minor role as IRA Siobhan Doovan, a member of the IRA in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) which starred Mickey Rourke. Doody was unspoken in the film as Archibald Craven's wife Lilias during the film adaptation of his fantasy, 1987's version from The Secret Garden. The Storyteller episode from 1988 featured her in the lead part of Sapsorrow, alongside John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She starred alongside Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin.
