Bruce Willis

Bruce Willis, actor and musician, is famous for his witty and sharp-edged parts in action films. He has appeared in more than $2.5 billion worth of films. Walter Bruce Willis, a West German-born actor, was born in Idar–Oberstein West Germany on March 19 1955 to Marlene Kassel (from Carneys Point), and David Andrew Willis (from New Jersey) who resided on a military base within the United States. The family relocated to America within a short time after his birth. He was raised in Penns Grove (New Jersey) where his mother worked as a bank clerk and his father was an electrician and worker in the factory. Willis picked up an interest for drama in high school. He was "discovered" when he was working at the cafe located in New York City and then appeared in a couple of off-Broadway productions. He was bartending one night when a casting manager noticed his charisma and asked to cast him as the bartender for a small film. Willis was involved in numerous auditions prior to being cast in the well-known romantic comedy, Moonlighting (1985), as David Addison. His witty and sarcastic P.I. Some believe it's a practice run for Willis the role he played in Die Hard (1988), in which he was the sole defender of the gang of thieves in an Los Angeles skyscraper. The actor reprised his role as McClane in the sequel, Die Hard 2 (1990) that was set at snowbound Washington's Dulles International Airport as a group of renegade Special Forces soldiers seek to repatriate a corrupt South American general. The sequel, Die Hard with revenge (1995) was a huge success. It starred Samuel L. Jackson as an obnoxious Harlem shopowner who is forced to join forces with McClane in a terrorist attack that occurred in the midst of a scorching New York day.
