Beyonce Giselle Knowles was born on September 4, 1981 in Houston, Texas. Tina Knowles, her mom creates the glittering costumes, as does Mathew Knowles is the Destiny's Children's manager. Beyonce is also 1/32 Irish descent, and is distantly related to Breton, Spanish, Indonesian, and Chinese roots from her maternal side in addition. The singer has been quoted as saying that in order to overcome her shyness, she created an acting persona dubbed "Sasha".
