Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush is an American pop music
boy group that formed in 2009. The group consists of Kendall Schmidt, James
Maslow, Logan Henderson, and Carlos PenaVega. In 2009 they signed with Nick
Records before moving to Columbia Records. They starred in Nickelodeon's TV
show, Big Time Rush. From November 28, 2009 through July 25 in 2013, the show
was on air. The pilot episode featured the group’s first single promo,
"Big Time Rush". The group released three studio albums: BTR in 2010
and Elevate (2011) and 24/Seven (2013). The band in 2014 stopped touring for an
indefinite period that would last until 2021. The band resumed live shows in
the studio, and then came out with "Call It Like It Sees It".
Nickelodeon signed Big Time Rush to a recording deal in 2009, concurrently with
the TV show Big Time Rush. Nickelodeon collaborated with Columbia/Epic Label
Group for production and music that is original. Their first single, "Big
Time Rush" was released on the show' November 29th 2009. The song was officially
revealed on Nickelodeon The song premiered in the U.S. November 2009 and was
later broadcast worldwide. The song was played in a preview of the series for
an hour, and it is the opening song of the show. The series also saw the
release of promotional singles such as "City is Ours" and "Any
Kind of Guy". Big Time Rush covered "Famous" by Play. It was
made available to iTunes on the 29th of June, 2010, Following its series
premiere the second song, "Halfway There", was released on iTunes on
April 27, 2010. It was their first song to be charted on the Billboard Hot 100,
peaking at 93 thanks to the digital sales. In order to promote their debut
album, Big Time Rush released "Till I Forget about You" on the 21st
of September 2010. The album, called BTR it was launched on the 11th of October
in 2010. The album reached number 3 on the Billboard 200 and sold 67,000 copies
within the first week.
